Oil-free micro turbomachinery by using gas foil bearings enables compact, lightweight, oil-free systems, along with accurate shaft motion. So, it illustrates the finite element rotor-dynamic model of the rotor supported on two gas foil journal bearings. The linear rotor-dynamic predictions to validate the rotor-GFJB model.

The prediction for natural frequencies of rotor-bearing system and mode shapes are too important to expect about the rotordynamic behavior. Nowadays, Increasing needs for high speed with a high efficiency have roused interest about static and dynamic characteristics of rotor-bearing system. It will be useful as a benchmark against experimental test data.
